   Articles are a very important part of the sentence and very easy to learn. 

  Vowels -5 : a,e,i,o,u.

Consonants -21 : b,c,d,f,g,h,j,k,l,m,n,p,q,r,s,t,v,w,x,y,z.

 

This is a peacock.

This is an ink bottle.

This is a mango fruit.

This is a flower.

The sun rises in the East.

AN :

 

   @  we use " an " before words that start with the vowel sound of a ,e ,I ,o , u.

       *why we use " an" for - hour?

        Why we use " an " for - umbrella?

            Because hour sounds like ox , owl and orange in the beginning (vowel).so we use " an".

    We use " a " before words that starts with a consonants sounds.

  So we use " a ".

THE :

    we already knows that the is used when we talk of your particular thing the article the is also used before the names of unique things like mountains , rivers , lakes ,seas ,  oceans , famous books and directions.

   Use the before superlative adjectives to indicate the highest degree with in a group.

Rivers / Lakes / Waterfalls :

Seas / Oceans :

       

  The Indian Ocean, The Arabic ocean , The pacific Ocean....

Direction :

        

   The East , The West , The North , The South.

     The Thirukkural , The Mahabharadha , The Ramayana , The Ponniyin selvan , The Parthibanbkanavu.....

Islands :

          

    The Andaman & Nicobar , The srilanka , The Europe....
